Nuts About You with Lynnea Hollendonner

Hi, everyone! I hope you're ready for a nutty card! I used the Kindred Stamps Nuts About You stamp set along with some die cutting, ink blending, and alcohol marker coloring!

I used a set of building dies to create a die cut window panel to be the front of my card. I grabbed my Distress Inks and blended on some Evergreen Bough and Pine Needles onto the die cut panel. I kept the darker color at the bottom and the lighter at the top and flicked on some water for texture. I temporarily held my window panel onto a card base and traced around the windows so I could do my stamping. After I stamped my images from the Nuts About You stamp set I erased my pencil lines and grabbed my alcohol markers.

I colored in the acorns and the little chipmunks using various shades of brown markers and then started adding color to the background. I used golden brown and yellow markers and colored around my stamped images to fill in where the windows would peek through to the background. I decided the coloring looked a bit plain, so I wanted to add texture. I used my Copic Colorless Blender and went back and forth drawing a horizontal striped pattern. The Colorless Blender lightens and bleaches the color and the resulting look is super cool! I finished my card by stamping a sentiment and adding foam tape to the back of the die cut window panel and adding it over my colored card. That's it! Here's a short video tutorial!
