Family Is Forever - No Line Technique

Hi Everyone,

Deni from The Video DT with you, today I have made a card using a stamp set from Kindred Stamps called Family Is Forever, I really love the little critter in the stamp set he just makes me smile.

I am sharing a technique with you called "No Line Colouring" using Copic Markers to colour up my images.

I stamped the images onto Copic safe blending card using Memento Desert Sand, there is other companies out there who have similar colour inks so if you don't have this one in particular have a look in your stash and see what you may have. I then coloured the images up using Copic Markers.

My tip when doing the No Line Technique is to have a black image stamped out next to the one you are colouring so you have a guide as to where you are colouring. In the case of Kindred Stamps the black image is on the acetate that comes with your stamp set so you don't even need to stamp it out.

I fussy cut the images using EK Success Cutterbee Scissors, the best way to fussy cut is to move the card not the scissors so much and to have a nice pointy sharp pair of scissors.

I ran a Rounded Rectangle die through my Gemini to create the stitched look on the background. I then grabbed a Mini Blending Tool and blended some Distress Inks. I then ran a clouds die through my Gemini using some leftover white cardstock and adhered them using Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Adhesive. When adhering my images down I prefer using liquid glue rather than tape runner so I know it is adhered well all the way around.

If you are interested you can see me colouring up the images here on the Kindred Stamps You Tube Channel.

The patterned papers I actually created myself using Blending Cardstock, an Acrylic Block, some of the stamps from the set and some Memento Tuxedo Black.

The little flowers I coloured using Distress Inks and a Roymac Revolution Taklon Brush. I just smudged the ink onto my Glass Media Mat and picked it up straight off there.

I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops in Red Berry to the bottom of my card. Finally adhering all the layers to a Couture Creations Card Base using Scotch ATG.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).
